2012 Summer Institute: Race, Sex, and Equity

Published under:

The 11th annual Summer Institute will explore the concepts of race, sex, and equity through critical analysis of race, gender, sexuality, age, and disability.

This year's program will feature preeminent sexuality research scholars, sexual rights advocates, and program implementers whose research and advocacy work challenges conventional paradigms around sexuality and racial equity.

Structure:

The Summer Institute is divided into two 2-week sessions, each session earns three academic credits (undergraduate or graduate).  During each of the two weeks, the daily schedule is divided into three "classes".  The morning CORE lecture combines undergraduate and graduate students and is led by our featured speakers, top academics and researchers from across the US.  The afternoon is split into a project course (one for undergraduate and one for graduate level students) and an elective.  Participants choose their elective on a first come, first serve basis according to registration and payment receipt.
